Palo Santo
Sweet Palo Santo, also known as ‘Sacred Wood’ is a mystical tree with a natural wooden aromatic incense, used for thousands of years by the Indigenous Peoples of the Amazon for its medicinal values and fragrance.
Palo Santo is native to Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula south to Peru and Venezuela. It is also found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador and on the Galapagos islands. The tree belongs to the same family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh.
Its healing properties are known to raise your vibration, clear your sacred space, enhance creativity and bring prosperity.
Palo Santo is often used for the learning the art of expansion, listening to higher wisdom of the heart and harnessing ones talents to enlighten others.
Sustainability
Palo Santo is now a protected resource and is harvested under strict government laws. It is sustainably harvested from naturally fallen tress, long lain from 4-10 years. Our Palo Santo is from trusted, ethical vendors who only harvest from naturally fallen trees.
Enjoy burning and sharing.
How To Burn
Use a candle, match or lighter to ignite your stick of Palo Santo.
Hold at about a 45 degree angle pointing the tip down toward the flame.
Allow it to burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then blow the flame out.
Move about (and smudge) your space, home, car, or anywhere you would like to clear the energy. Hold or stand your Palo Santo stick upright in a bowl of sand and watch the glow silently subside.
Always use caution and respect when working with fire.
